by Syd Hoff
After feeding time at the zoo, the kindly zookeeper gives Sammy permission to take a look at the big world outside. The seals, zebra, hippo, and giraffe happily wave good-bye. Sammy is off on his big adventure.
What a lot there is for a seal to see in town!
There are buildings as tall as the sky. There is a big hole in the street with men working in it. There are even people at their own "feeding time" on the other side of a big glass window.
'"That seal must be from out of town," a man says. And sure enough there is no place in town where a hot seal can swim.
Children will be delighted by the adventures and misadventures of this friendly, curious seal who finds that there is no place like home!
