Beatriz Gutiérrez Hernández is an illustrator and an animator born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. She graduated from Pratt Institute and lived in Brooklyn, New York, for several years. Beatriz is the illustrator of Dreams from Many Rivers, written by Margarita Engle, and Desert Song, written by Laekan Zea Kemp. Her picture book, Benito Juárez Fights for Justice earned her an Ezra Jack Keats honor. She splits her time between Mexico City and New York.
